National Police Service of Kenya
officers based in Murang’a County has
been accused of shooting two robbers
they arrested and handcuffed.
The lifeless bodies of the said
criminals were circulated in several
media houses in the Country and
followed by Global uproar over extra
judicial killings in Kenya.
Members of the public are much
disturbed why the law enforcers took
matters in their own hands by
executing the two robbers whom they
captured within Murang’a forest.
A clear breach of Article 50, 49 , 29,
27 of the Constitution on fair trial
,innocent before proved guilty,
respect to human rights and failure to
adhere to the Country laws as law
enforcers.
Police in their response to defend
their actions claimed that there was
exchange of fire between them and the
robbers contrary to photos taken at
the scene and circulated Globally.
The suspects robbers are alleged to
have been shot at the expansive
Kinyona forest where it is alleged
two others escaped.
It is alleged that the gangs attacked
police officers guarding a Sacco,
where they managed to disarm the
officers and executed their mission by
escaping with huge sums of money .
It is also alleged that the firearms
in possesion of the said criminals was
safely secured together with stolen
money at the said Sacco.
