KENYAN YOUTH CRY FOUL IN TENDER AWARDS

Kenyan Youth through their leaders are now

demanding the ruling Jubilee Government to

fulfil there 2013 eve to General election promise

ensuring the youth who are the majority and

jobless gets Government tenders without

discriminations or being undermined.

Addressing members of the fourth estate at a

Nairobi Hotel within the County of Nairobi,

Chief Executive Officer Vision 2030 Youth

Economic Recovery Strategy Edward Githaiga in

a hash tone stressed that, the youth in the

Country are suffering especially in this time of

the deadly pandemic and time for the Citizens

to stop scrutinising, suspecting, branding youth

as criminals and doubting young Kenyans

whenever they make progress in their lives is

now.

The CEO Githaiga while flanked by the

Secretary General Collins Oboss and Deputy

Spokesman Ababu Ojiambo of Vision 2030

Youth Economic Recovery Strategy, humbly

urged the Country law enforcement units,

Kenyan in general to adopt attitudes of

embracing fellow Kenyans and especially the

youth whenever they are making progress in

their lives and developing their society by

initiating empowerment programmes to there

fellow youth and the society at large.

The youthful leaders wondered why the entire

Citizens in the Country were against each other

and not questioning tenders being awarded to

foreign company’s even without meeting the

threshold of awards regulations in line with the

the procurement requirements.

The Government must initiate ways to protect

and support the indigenous working hard to

make ends meet for their survival, as they

called for the Country media to focus on

investigating all the tenders awarded Nationally

instead of being biased in their investigation by

selecting a few who have benefited through

legal avenues, while pin pointing the case of

KEMSA where they said was a pure total witch

hunt since the Country EACC was investigating

the issue and the board members stepped

aside several months ago.

On their part the Secretary General Collins

Oboss called for fairness when it comes to

investigating institutions and the youth who

work hard in archiving their dreams, while the

Deputy Spokesman Ababu Ojiambo pointed out

that the challenges facing youth in the Country

must be looked at keenly and addressed with

speed to reach a workable solution.
