MAN WHO OBTAINED OVER 10M TO SUPPLY JET OIL TO US MILITARY FREED

Kenyan Youthful lawyer Elkana Mogaka in

a humble submission before Nairobi’s

Chief Magistrate, successfully secured

a lenient cash bail for his client who

was charged with obtaining money by

false pretense contrary to section 313

of the penal code .

The State informed the duty court that

the accused Mohamed Kassim Salat

unlawfully and intentionally obtained

ten million Kenya shillings from a

businessman Abdirashid Abdulahi Omar,

that they will jointly supply food and

jet oil to United States of America

Military based in Somali , a fact the

accused knew was untrue.

The accused in his 40s is alleged to

have committed the offence on 19th

January year 2021 within Eastleigh

Nairobi County Kenya , where he obtained

a huge sum of money 10, 700, 000 Kenya

shillings falsely.

Mohamed Kassim was arrested on 28th

April year 2022 and freed on a police

bond after he requested the law

enforcers that he be given room to

settle the matter through Alternative

Dispute Resolution, where he breached

the honest offer and was arraigned at

Milimani Law Court on Monday 01st August

,charged with one count of obtaining

money by false pretense.

The accused pleaded not guilty and his

lawyer Elkana Mogaka through an oral

application submitted before court

prayed for lenient bond terms and

assured the court that he will make sure

his client attend the trial .

Lawyer Mogaka’s prayers were granted and

his client released on a lenient cash

bail of 0.5 million with two surety and

the accused to deposit his passport in

court pending trial .
