Azimio candidate for the just concluded
presidential election Raila Amollo
Odinga has convinced the Supreme Court
to scrutinize the votes and declare him
the winner.
Odinga who is the petitioner challenging
the win of UDA candidate and also
President elect William Ruto has cited
this inline with section 80 of the
election amendment act.
As IEBC brought 45 ballot boxes from 15
polling stations as requested by the
first petitioner at Supreme Court.
Raila through his lawyer Julie soweto
while submitting claimed that Raila
votes we’re reduced and added to William
Ruto.
Odinga said this through one of his
lawyers Julie Soweto at the Milimani
court when the hearing of his case began
on Tuesday,August 31.
Odinga claims that the forms were all
signed by the agents and returning
officers but the figures in the forms
were tampered with .
The Petitioner gave an example of
Chepalungu constituency, where he had
41 votes and Ruto had 109 votes but
in form 34A showed Ruto had over 200
votes while Odinga remained with one
vote .
“Raila votes were being reduced then
added to William Ruto votes before being
uploaded in the public portal,”said
Soweto.
Soweto added that 25 polling stations in
Baringo were also tampered with.
She continued to say that the votes
stolen from Odinga and added to Ruto in
Baringo county was over 4000.
The shocking revelation was submitted by
Odinga’s team of lawyers where the
court gave the petitioner three hours
of submission.
The case is going on
