Family of three abducted children
stormed the Office of Director of
Public Prosecution (ODPP) demanding for
Prosecution of alleged known abductors.
Armed with placards printed photos of
three abducted children, 9 month old
twins and five year old school going
girl, the aggrieved family demanded
audience with DPP Noordin Haji inquiring
to be informed why it is taking longer
to prosecute alleged criminals.
It is alleged that suspects, directors
of a cement company based in coastal
region were behind the abduction and
were summoned by Directorate of
Criminal Investigations , where there
statements were recorded pending plea
taking.
ODPP signed the drafted charge sheet by
National Police Service giving green
light for suspects be arraigned before
Nairobi’s Chief Magistrate Micheni Wendy
Kagendo and answer to charges of
abduction and human trafficking.
Human trafficking, abduction offences
are classified as serious crimes and
attract a maximum sentence of 30
years imprisonment without a fine.
Three minors were abducted while living
with their biological father.
The criminal offence is alleged to have
been committed within Nairobi County
and victims transported to Mombasa.
Suspects Urvash Kauship, Lalji
Hirani, Ratan Daya, Dakish Nilesh
Siyani, Mitikisha Vekariyi, Arvid
Vekarja, and Namrata Manoyi Keshavi were
schedule to plead to the said charges
two months ago.

stressed.
Director of Public Prosecution Noordin
Haji after perusing the file issued an
order for the arrest and prosecution of
the alleged abductors but up to date no
suspect has been charged.
And a report compiled by children’s
officer inline to the law ordered that
three minors be surrendered to their
biological father, Nikesh Harji after
their mother Nikesh wife passed away
several years ago with remains
interred at Shree Cutchi Gujarati Hindu
Crematorium.
Children’s officers report presented
before court also recommended that
widower Nikesh is a man of means ,
responsible and able to take care of his
children.
