Nairobi’s Senior Principal Magistrate released a
youthful man personating as Kenya Defence
Officer on a bond of 0.1 million.
Denis Murunga Luchivia who was arrested on
Saturday early morning at the Country General
Service Unit (GSU) alleged that on the fateful
day, he was drunk and ended up claiming that
he was Kenya Defence Force Officer based at
Kahawa Barracks but was unable to identify
himself.
Denis from Kakamega County was arraigned
before lower criminal court at Milimani Nairobi
where he was charged with one count of
personating a public Officer contrary to section
105 (a) of the penal code.
On Saturday 10th October at the General
Service Unit (GSU) within Nairobi County Kenya,
the accused presented himself to the GSU
officers as an employee of Kenya Defence
Force, a fact the accused knew was false.
