GLOBAL FORUM ON CLEAN COOKING OPENS IN NAIROBI COUNTY KENYA

The Clean Cooking Forum 2019 kicks off in East and Central Africa Super power Nairobi County Kenya .

The three-day global event is being held in Nairobi for the first time ever, bringing together about 500 delegates to engage on building an inclusive industry that makes clean cooking accessible to the three billion people who live each day without it.

During the forum, the Clean Cooking Study will be launched to guide Kenya’s future policies in the sector. In addition, the Forum will also launch “Clean Cooking Is” the world’s first global advocacy campaign dedicated to clean cooking.

Hon. Charles Keter, Cabinet Secretary for the Kenya Ministry of Energy, Hon. Dr. Eng. Joseph K. Njoroge, Permanent Secretary for the Kenya Ministry of Energy, H.E. Hajia Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, Mr. Franciscus Albrecht Makken, Dutch Ambassador to Kenya, Ms. Elin Bergithe Rognlie, Norwegian Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Kandeh Yumkella, Development & Agricultural economist, former U.N. Under-Secretary-General, Mr. Rocky Dawuni, Grammy-nominated musician and clean cooking advocate, Ms. Rebecca Mincy, Investment Director of Acumen Capital Partners and Ms. Dymphna van der Lans, CEO of the Clean Cooking Alliance will grace the Global Forum.
