Free drinks drive three to jail

Convicted on their own admission, the three convicts mechanics

working along Ngara Nairobi County Kenya will be sentenced on

14th Wednesday this month after  report from a  probation officer is

presented before the trial court.

 

The three convicts who have never consumed alcohol in their entire

lives got a golden moment where they were offered free drinks by a

friend and a colleague and drove them berserk insulting their own

boss using unprintable words.

 

As their boss scampered for safety and later reported the matter to

the law enforcers who arrested the suspects John Kihara Kamande,

Josphat Kamau githinji and James Mwangi Mwigai and were

arraigned before Senior Principal Magistrate Mwaniki at Kibera

Law Court Nairobi on 13th April, the three accused pleaded guilty to

two counts of assault and creating disturbance.

 

The State Prosecutor Kimando informed the Court that the three

accused insulted a businessman within Ngara Estate Nairobi and

also threatened to beat the said victim.
In there mitigation the accused begged to be forgiven and also

admitted that they had young families and they are the sole

breadwinners, they also informed the court that they acted  under

the influence of a free alcohol given by a friend.
