KENYA GOVERNMENT BULL DOZE LABOUR COURT ON HOUSING LEVY DIRECTS COURT TO HEAR THE MATTER TODAY CONTRARY TO MENTION DATE:

The Labour Court at Milimani Law Court Nairobi County Kenya on Thursday 25th April 2019 at 9.43 am East Africa Time Described the action’s of the Government through Attorney General as Ambush.

The Office of the Attorney General wrote a letter to the Labour Court Requesting the Court to call the parties and hear the case today and first track the the Judgment.

Labour Court Initially gave the conservatory orders stopping the Government from deducting the housing levy of 1.5% from each employee to build affordable houses.

Order’s of the Government through Attorney General failed to materialise after some parties failed to adhere to the Government request.

The matter is before Lady Justice Maureen Onyango at Milimani Commercial Court.

Lady Justice Onyango issued a mention date to 20th of May and extended the Conservatory orders barring the Government from deducting housing levy.
