DETECTIVES ALLEGES INSIDE JOB IN BARCLAYS ATM THEFT WHERE OVER 11 MILLIONS VANISHED

In a well schemed robbery at Barclays Bank in Kenya Nairobi the Capital City without violence and detection.

The Detectives investigating the look a like robbery theory strongly believes that the robbers were assisted by several an insiders working in different sections of the Bank.

G4S security limited guards, police officers and a taxi driver were arraigned before Senior Principle Magistrate Kennedy Cheruyiot at Milimani Law Court Nairobi County Kenya and charged over the recent Barclays Bank ATM heist.

Frederick Herman Otiya, Daniel Orero Okindo (G4S guards), George Gachungui Njoroge and John Otieno Makambogo (police officers? Were accused of stealing Sh 2,840,000 from Barclays Bank ATM at Kenya Cinema along Moi Avenue in Nairobi.

The four suspects are alleged to have committed the offence on 16th April 2019 jointly with others not before court.

The accused persons were also charged with conspiracy to commit a felony namely stealing the said money.

Taxi driver, Patrick Wanyoike Karanja was charged with stealing Sh one million from the Bank’s ATM at matter hospital in Nairobi.

All the accused pleaded not guilty and through their lawyers requested Senior Principal Magistrate Kenneth Cheruyiot to release them on a lenient bond terms.

They were granted a bond of Sh two million surety of the same or pay a cash bail of Sh 500,000 Kenya shillings awaiting trial on 5th June 2019.
