THE LIFE OF YET TO BE UNVEILED BBI UNCERTAIN

By Chris Ojow

While the proposers of the much talked about and yet be unveiled Building Bridges Initiative, only advocates for peaceful coexisting in boardrooms but in real life not in the society .

On the ground it is totally different with heavens and paradise being allegedly promised to Kenyans.

A good example is the just concluded by election at Kibra, where organised youths on alleged payrolls rained terror on innocent voters and observers from different political parties .

And surprisingly none of the so called Building Bridges Initiative proposers has come out to apologise or even pretend to be condemning the violence which was publicly witnessed and shared through posting in the widely shared Internet.

The Police also were caught up in the usual blame game, where they categorically defended themselves that nobody has filed a formal complain on kibra by election alleged violence.

And also there hands are tied on who to arrest or to investigate on the alleged much debated by election violence in Kibra.

Kimilili law Maker Didmus Baraza in a recorded ugly incident aired by one of the Kenyan giant media House pleaded with an ODM legislator who is alleged to have sponsored, commandeered the violence to spare him and protect him from the goons.

But he was immediately roughed up before several Legislators both from Jubilee and ODM quietly watched in disbelief and in the process Baraza lost his trade mark red cap.

Interestingly during the ODM thanks giving rally at the said Constituency, one of the trusted lieutenants of the 2022 Presidential alleged contestant was spotted wearing Didmus red cap.

And he even threatened the Kimilili National Assembly Representative not to dare claim his favorite cap nicknamed “ogah, igwe”.

The legislator from Migori County during the ODM thanks giving rally was wearing the cap allegedly reported to have been stolen from Law maker Didmus Baraza.

A case of being in possession of a stolen property.

The debate, discussions and the investigations on the issue of violence in kibra has refused to go.

With majority of Kenyans Nationally , entrepreneurs and elected leaders trading accusations and exchanging insults on the alleged violence.

With a section of Kenyans calling for the disbandment of the much awaited Building Bridges Initiative.

Others are opposed to the BBI since the outfit advocates for the creation of political positions as Kenyans going through hardships.

To conduct a referendum in Kenya will cost the Country over ten billion Kenya shillings, and it is not clear whether the Country is ready for such an expensive exercise.

And the idea of Building Bridges Initiative was meant to bring peaceful coexistence among the people of Kenya.

But going with the much debated alleged violence in Kibra by election it will be difficult to convince Kenyans that BBI is for peaceful atmosphere.

On Monday 11th November 2019 a popular newspaper in Kenya conducted a survey on whether there was violence in Kibra.

And the outcome of the survey was very disappointing Contrary to the alleged forced project to Kenyans called BBI, where the result of the survey publicly admitted that violence was deployed in kibra during by election.
