Their offence is resisting arrests, participating in unlawful assembly and shouting to National police services “you fools come and kill us”.
The four accused who were escorting Nairobi County Kenya Governor Mike Sonko who had a date with EACC were accused of being disorderly.
They were arraigned before Nairobi’s Senior Principle Magistrate Kennedy Cheruyiot at Milimani law Court.
And charged with resisting arrests, participating in unlawful assembly and creating disturbance.
Where they all pleaded not guilty to three counts and were freed on a cash bail of 0.1 million Kenya shillings.
John Abok, Joseph Mwangi Kirai who contested for Embakassi North Parliamentary and lost, Kennedy Odbiambo and Media Man Richard Bosire were arrested yesterday at EACC headquarters.
It is alleged that the accused verbally by shouting insulted riot police Officers “you fools come and shoot us now”, the accused were further accused of creating disturbance and participation in unlawful gathering.
Their trial is scheduled in early December 2019 at the lower criminal court Milimani Nairobi County Kenya.
