KENYAN ATHLETES SHINE IN UAE

A group of Kenyan athletes living in

United Arabs Emirates will soon join

great runners as their academy keep

producing great runners in the land of

opportunities.

As members from the academy dominated

in various categories held in UAE

including half marathon.

The main theme of the group is to keep

fit, bringing Kenyan living in great UAE

together, as well as embracing Kenyan

way of life, the culture .

“We decided to start kenyan athletic

academy here in Dubai so as to inspire

others to run , and keep fit “Says

Brian Aringo the group head coach.

Similarly the group has attracted other

nationalities from Asia, Europe,

America and North Africa, among other

continent.

The academy has produced great number of

champions who won medals in different

categories organised by able sponsors

from several states in United Arabs

Emirates.

Am passionate about running and i

believe it’s a calling , running has

become part of my life inspiring me to

train daily as I motivate other

athletes “says Paul Komo , champion in a

recently held 2022 marathon.

Peter Muinde who is the coordinator of

the group also shares the same

sentiments. Running is a plus to the

body fitness, it reduces healthy

problems in a big percentage, “he adds,

Peter also multitask as a rugby coach.

Kenyan runners in UAE dream of

participating in big arenas like

Olympics, World Marathon competition,

diamond League and common wealth games.
