SPORT PESA CEO AND LAW MAKER RONALD KARAURI ACCUSED OF FAILING TO FUND YOUTH PROGRAMS IN HIS CONSTITUENCY

Kasarani Youth to demonstrate over their Law Maker and Sport Pesa CEO Ronald Karauri failure to adhere to Football Kenya Federation rules.

Kasarani Football Association (KFA)

has threatened to hold demonstrations

if their Member of Parliament and

Sport Pesa CEO Ronald Karauri fail to

pay for their teams affiliation fees to

the Football Kenya Federation (FKF)

enabling them to participate in their

respective local football leagues.

Speaking at a press briefing within

Nairobi County, KFA Coodinator Erick

Odhiambo said that MP Karauri has gone

against his campaign promises and is

being influenced by political forces to

neglect the youth who depend on

football activities keeping them away

from poverty, crime and drugs usage.

“The executive committee members are

misleading our MP to refuse paying the

fees to FKF Nairobi East branch, issue

causing the youth to remain idle”

Odhiambo stressed.

coordinator further painfully narrated

that young people residing in the

constituency always participate in

local football tournaments which is a

source for their livelihood.

The elected area Legislator is being

accused of not being in touch with the

locals to fully understand their day to

day issues.

As the handlers of Kasarani

Constituency National Assembly

Representative also stand accused of

misleading the youthful entrepreneur at

the expense of the suffering

electorates who selfishly fights for

their individual interests.

It is on record,former area Members of

Parliament were catering for the

welfare of the youth by paying the

alleged fees to enable them participate

in Football Kenya Federation organized

football tournaments to keep them busy

and earn a living.

Speaking during a stakeholders meeting

to plan way forward, Njiru Ward Alex

Maloba said that, currently twenty

eight teams in his area are an unable

to participate in football matches for

lack of fees, exposing the future

prominent personalities to engage in

criminal activities to make ends meet.

“We know that their is a budget set

aside for football activities within

our constituency and we demand that our

MP should sort out this issue. If he

does not assist us then we will be

forced to go for demonstrations so that

our voice will be heard”, said the

coordinator Erick Odhiambo.

Youth residing at Kasarani constituency

interviewed stressed similar

sentiments bordering neglect by their

youthful elected Member of Parliament

Ronald Karauri, whom they thought was

more focused on matters concerning the

youth and empowering them in uplifting

their living standard, only for him
