SHOCK, CONFUSION AS KISII COUNTY GIRL ALLEGEDLY STOLE THREE WEEK OLD TWINS AND ONE DIED

The lower criminal Court at Nairobi Milimani

was emotionally moved after it was informed

that the victims one of the twins three week old

died after being stolen from their mother at

Ogembo Market Gucha Kisii County.

The accused Lydia Nyaboke in her 20s was

arrested on 06 November without a warrant of

arrest and arraigned before Nairobi’s Chief

Magistrate Martha Mutuku on Thursday 19th

November year 2020 at 12.43 noon East Africa

Time, where she was charged with four counts

of trafficking in persons contrary to section 3

(1) (e) as read with section 3 (5) of the counter

trafficking in persons Act number 8 of 2020.

Where the accused Lydia Nyaboke pleaded not

guilty and her request to be granted for lenient

bond was disallowed pending a ruling on the

same and pre trial on Tuesday 24th November.

The Court was informed that on 14th October

2020 at Ogembo Market Gucha sub County in

Kisii County, Intentionally and unlawfully jointly

with others not before the Court Lydia Nyaboke

received baby A and B

from unknown parent for the purpose of abuse.

And in a separate charge the youthful female

lady was accused of unlawfully transporting

baby A and B from Ogembo

Market Gucha sub County, Kisii County Kenya.
