The applicant through lawyer Danstan

Omari seeks to block the nine nominees

to East Africa Legislative Assembly on

grounds that the list passed by Kenyan

National Assembly Representatives lacks

regional balance and a breach of law.

Applicant Kau Quentin Mengo is urging

the court to halt the process until the

matter filed before it is heard and

determined .

The nine nominees are David Sangok,

Hassan Omar , Ziporah Kering, Mwangi

Godfrey Maina, Falhadha Dekow Iman,

Winnie Odinga, Suleiman Shabal , Kennedy

Kalonzo Musyoka and James Mathenge

Kanini Kega who’s nominations has been

challenged through application filed in

Court seeking to stop them from

proceedings to EALA Assembly on grounds

of favoritism,regional balance and

failure to adhere to the law.

The applicant in court documents want

the clerks of National Assembly and

senate be prevented from forwarding the

list of nominees for approval to East

Africa Legislative Assembly.

The nominees were vetted and voted by

elected legislators from two political

umbrella outfits , the Kenya Kwanza and

“The political process terribly failed

to adhere to the Country national

values and principles set out under the

new 2010 Constitution of the Republic

of Kenya” says Lawyer Danstan Omari for
